本来、［菊］ではありませんが、日本では秋花といえば菊なのでこの名を冠したのでしょう。
この花が咲くと秋が来たのだと知らされます。
札幌では、秋花としては比較的早く咲きます。

It’s the season for Japanese anemones, which are sometimes called Japanese anemones in the West.
They’re not actually “chrysanthemums,” but in Japan, chrysanthemums are synonymous with autumn flowers, so the name was probably chosen.
When these flowers bloom, we know that autumn has arrived.
In Sapporo, they bloom relatively early for an autumn flower.
